How do I submit a report for staff review?

All reports submitted for a STARS Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum rating are subject to AASHE staff review prior to publication. 

There are four steps to the final submission process:
  1. Click "Submit Report" and review your report for any omissions
  2. Upload an executive cover letter in PDF format
  3. Update contact information for the STARS Liaison, Executive Contact and President/Chancellor
  4. Final confirmation for staff review
Once those steps have been completed, your report will go into "collaborative review and revision" mode and enter the queue for AASHE staff review. Upon submission, the STARS Liaison will receive a confirmation email outlining next steps.

AASHE staff review typically takes 10 business days to complete, although it may take 5-10 additional days during periods with a high volume of submissions. 
We will contact the STARS Liaison with the results of the review. If there are no required revisions, or once any inconsistencies are addressed, we will email a certificate of rating to the STARS Liaison and Executive Contact and publish the report.

As a benefit of paid participation in STARS, pre­-publication review is available upon request to institutions that have paid access to the Reporting Tool, but elect to submit as a Reporter rather than pursue a rating. To request review, please email stars@aashe.org.
